Pattel Fashions

Being located on R.P.Road and subash road means we are right in the middle of everything in Secunderabad. It’s a busy intersection area. Pattel Fashions has been around this corner for quite some time. The building is a bit dated, and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it feels like home. We open up early, usually before the sun gets too hot. There’s a lot of noise from the buses and the honking. You get used to it after a few weeks. We have different sections for different types of clothing. Most of it is just stacked up. We don't use fancy hangers for everything. It’s more practical this way. We use a simple ceiling fan and keep the door open for air. Sometimes stray dogs come and sit near the entrance to cool off. We don't mind. The customers are mostly locals. They know my name. We talk about the weather or the local news while they look around. We don't try to push people to buy things. If they like it, they take it. That’s how we’ve always done it. My father started this and now I handle the daily stuff. It's a long day, usually ending after eight. Then we pull down the shutters and head home. It’s honest work. We aren't doing anything fancy, just keeping the shop going as best as we can.
