Park Hotel

Our place is right across from the Public Gardens in Nampally. Being in the 500001 zip code means we are right in the thick of things. You can see the greenery from the gardens across the road, which is a nice change from all the concrete and the noise of the traffic. Nampally is a busy area, especially with the railway station not too far off. We get a lot of people who are just in town for a day or two, maybe for some work or just passing through. The building is older, and you can tell by looking at the walls and the way the stairs are worn down in the middle from years of feet. We don't have any fancy lobby music or anything like that. Usually, it is just the sound of the ceiling fans or the TV in the corner. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a bit chaotic at the front desk when everyone wants to check out at the same time. We’ve seen a lot of changes in this neighborhood over the years, with new shops opening up and old ones closing down. It is a real mix of people coming through here. We just focus on getting the linens changed and making sure the water is running. It is a simple operation, run by a handful of people who live nearby and walk to work every morning. We just keep the doors open and do the work.
