We operate out of 8-74 in Madhuranagar Colony, over in the H.S. Durga area. It’s a residential neighborhood, but we have our small office and a bit of space for our equipment nearby. My family has been doing this for a few years now. We started with just one old machine and slowly added another one when we could afford it. It’s mostly my brothers and me running the daily operations. We do a lot of work for people building houses in the colony or clearing small plots of land for gardens. Our office is just a room with a couple of chairs and a dusty computer that we barely ever turn on. We prefer being out in the field doing the actual work. The machines take a lot of effort to keep in good shape, and parts seem to get more expensive every single year. We don't do any big advertising or posters; we just rely on our neighbors telling others about the work we do. Sometimes the work is steady, and other times it’s quiet for a week while we wait for the phone to ring. That’s just the way it goes with construction and earthmoving. We try to be fair with our rates and show up on time, even if the traffic in H.S. Durga makes that difficult sometimes. It’s a humble business, but it keeps us all busy.
