Sri Devi Earthmovers

Sri Devi Earthmovers is our family business based in Hyderabad. We’re located at 29-106/1 in New Vidya Nagar, which is over in the Neredmet and Malkajigiri area. It’s where we’ve lived and worked for as long as I can remember. We have a few big earthmoving machines that we use for various digging and clearing jobs around the city. Hyderabad is always building something new, so there’s usually work to be found if you’re willing to get your hands dirty. My father started this with just one old machine, and we’ve slowly added a couple more over the years. It’s not an easy job by any means. The machines need a lot of looking after, and there’s always something that needs fixing or greasing. We spend a lot of our time out on sites, dealing with the heat and the dust. Back at the office, which is really just a small room at our house address, we keep track of the jobs in a big ledger. We don't bother with fancy advertising or anything. Most people around here know us by name and just call my mobile when they need a trench dug or a lot cleared. We have a couple of drivers who have been with us forever, and they’re basically part of the family now. It’s just us doing our thing, day in and day out, trying to keep the machines running and the customers satisfied.
