Novotel

Working at the Novotel over here in the HICC complex in Cyberbad keeps us pretty busy. It’s a large place, and there is always something going on, whether it’s a big conference next door or just people checking in after a long flight. Our spot is at Emp No 504. The address is a bit of a mouthful with the PO Bag and the Cyberbad post office details, but once you’re here, it’s easier to navigate. Hyderabad has changed a lot, especially this side of town with all the tech buildings and new roads popping up every few months. We spend most of our shift dealing with keys, bags, and making sure the lobby looks decent. Sometimes the elevators take forever when it’s peak hour, and you just have to wait with a smile. The air conditioning is always blasting, which is a relief when it’s forty degrees outside. We drink a lot of coffee from the breakroom to keep going. It’s a lot of walking back and forth through the hallways. You meet all kinds of people from different countries, though mostly they are just tired and want to get to their rooms. We’ve got the pin code 500081 memorized by now from filling out so many forms. It’s just a job, really. We show up, wear the uniform, and try to keep things moving along without too much trouble for anyone. It's a lot of standing, but we've got comfortable shoes.
