Nk Garments

Sultan Bazar is a crazy place to have a shop. We are at 3-4-14 in Koti. The traffic never stops. If you look out the front, you just see a sea of bikes and people. We’ve been at Nk Garments for years. My brother and I run the place. It’s a lot of manual work. We carry the bundles in ourselves. The stairs are narrow. Sometimes the lights flicker when the grid is heavy. We just keep a candle or a torch handy. Hyderabad gets really hot, so the cooler is always running. We talk to the other shopkeepers a lot. It’s a community. We aren't trying to be the biggest. We just want to sell our clothes and go home. The floor is concrete and we sweep it twice a day. The dust from the road is a constant battle. People bargain a lot here. It’s part of the day. We drink Irani chai every afternoon. It keeps us going. The stock changes often. We don’t have a website or anything. If someone wants to see what we have, they just come to Koti. It’s simple. We have our regulars who have been coming since they were kids. Now they bring their own kids. It makes you feel old. But it’s a good life. We are just a small part of the bazar. We don't expect things to change much.
