Nirmala High School

If you go to Khairatabad in Hyderabad, you’ll find us at Door No 6-2-966/3/A & A1. This is Nirmala High School. It’s a busy area and the noise from the road never really stops, but inside the gates, we try to keep things a bit more orderly. The building has been here for a good while and it shows its age in some spots, but it’s sturdy. We have a lot of stairs and the kids are always running up and down them during the lunch break. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s mostly just desks, chairs, and textbooks. The teachers come in early to get their notes ready. We see the same faces every day, parents dropping off their kids before heading to work in the city. There’s always a bit of a rush in the mornings. We do our best to keep the registers updated and the classrooms swept. It’s a lot of work keeping a high school running in such a crowded part of town. The nearby shops are always busy, so we tell the kids to be careful when they cross. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; we just do what needs to be done. Sometimes we have to deal with plumbing issues or a broken window, but that’s just life in an old building. We are just a regular school providing a place for kids to learn their lessons without any fuss.
