New Amritsar Handloom Centre

New Amritsar Handloom Centre is located down on the LG floor of Madina Tower. The shop numbers are 22-7-268/Ab/1 and 2. We are over in the Pather Gatti area, specifically on Dewan Devid. It’s a bit of a maze in this part of town if you aren't familiar with it, but once you find Madina Tower, we’re just a floor down. The shop stays fairly cool since we are below the main street level, which is nice during the hotter months. We have piles of handloom goods everywhere you look. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where the blankets and the fabrics are kept. We’ve been here for a good while, and the neighborhood has a lot of history. Most of our days are spent folding things back up after people have looked through them. We don't have any slick marketing or a big sign outside. Usually, people find us through a friend or just by wandering into the tower. It’s a local business through and through. We just come in, open the shutters, and see who shows up. Some days are slow, and some days we’re running around trying to help three people at once. We don't mind the chaos too much. It’s just how things are at the center. We just keep at it and hope for the best each day we are open.
