Narayana High School

Dilsukhnagar is one of the busiest parts of Hyderabad, and we are right in the thick of it at Door No 17-85/1. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with the markets and the traffic. Our school is a vertical building because there isn't much ground space around here. The stairs are a bit steep and the kids are always running up and down them during the breaks. We have several floors of classrooms, and they are mostly full throughout the day. It gets quite loud with the sound of the city coming through the windows, but the teachers just talk a bit louder to compensate. We don't have a playground of our own, so the kids don't really get to run around much until they go home. We focus mostly on the high school subjects and preparing for those big year-end tests. The office is tucked away in a corner and it's always piled high with notebooks and files that need sorting. We’ve been here for a long time and the building shows its age, but it works for what we need. Parents like that we are easy to reach, even if the parking is a nightmare. It’s just a regular urban school where we try to keep the students focused on their studies amidst all the city chaos. The bell at the end of the day is the loudest thing in the building. We just want the students to learn their lessons and move on to the next grade.
