Manohar Mogili

Manohar Mogili is based out of the Hyderabad GPO area, right in the 500001 district. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s always crowded and there’s always something going on. I’ve been in this office for a long time. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but that makes it a little quieter, which I like. The walls are covered with old calendars and notes I’ve scribbled over the months. It’s not a place that would win any awards for design, but it’s comfortable for me. I started this because I wanted to work for myself and stay close to the center of Hyderabad. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy things about us. It’s just me and sometimes a relative who helps out with the paperwork. We take things as they come. Some weeks are really quiet and I spend time reading the news or talking to the guys next door. Other weeks, I barely have time to eat lunch. That’s just the nature of work here. We don't make big promises. We just tell people what we can do and then we do it. It’s an honest way to run things. The GPO is nearby so getting mail is easy, which is one of the reasons I picked this spot. It might be dusty and loud, but it is exactly where I need to be.
