Magnum Equipment

At Magnum Equipment, we spend our days over at 8 and 9 in the New Narsimha Nagar Colony. This part of Mallapur is pretty industrial, being right on Ecil Road. It’s a good spot for us because the trucks can get in and out fairly easily, which is important for the kind of stuff we handle. The workshop floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or grease, but that’s expected when you’re dealing with equipment all day. We have a small office section, but most of us are usually out back. The sun hits the metal roof pretty hard in the afternoons, making it quite warm inside, so we keep the fans running constantly. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially with the road noise from Ecil Road constantly in the background. We’ve got some old shelves that have seen better days, piled high with parts and tools. Every now and then we try to organize things, but by the next week, it’s back to its usual state. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We know the machines inside out. If a customer calls with a question, we usually just go by experience rather than looking at a manual. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We stay until the light goes down and then lock up the gates. It’s a long day, but we like the routine of it all.
