Lotus National School

You can find Lotus National School right by the Bhabught Bridge over in Attapur. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always traffic noise and people walking by the gates. The bridge is a good landmark if you’re trying to give someone directions to come find us. Our building is a few stories high, and you can see the river from the top windows if the weather is clear. We spend a lot of our time making sure the hallways stay clear and the students are in their seats. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when everyone is out for recess, but we manage. The stairs are narrow, so we have to tell the kids to slow down a lot. We’ve been here in Attapur for a while, and the neighborhood has changed around us, but the school stays pretty much the same. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day's plans. Nothing is very fancy here, just plain walls and wooden furniture that’s seen better days. We do our best to keep the place looking decent for the families. Every morning starts with the same routine of opening the gates and getting the registers ready. It’s just a normal school day for us, focusing on the books and the lessons that need to be finished before the weekend.
