Our place is located at Plot 300 in Prasanth Nagar, over in the Miyapur area of Hyderabad. Running a resort sounds like it’s all fun and games, but there is a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that keeps us busy from early morning. We handle everything from the bookings to making sure the grounds are kept up. The office we work out of isn't as fancy as the guest rooms, believe me. We’ve got stacks of laundry schedules and supply lists all over the place. Some days the phones don't stop ringing with people asking about prices or if the pool is open. We try to give everyone a straight answer. Living and working in Miyapur means we’re a bit away from the main city rush, which is nice, but it also means we have to be really organized with our deliveries. If we run out of something, it’s a bit of a drive to get more. We’ve got a small crew of people who have been here a long time. We know which rooms have the best views and which ones get the morning sun. It’s not a perfect operation—sometimes a booking gets mixed up or a guest has a complaint about the Wi-Fi. We just fix it and move on. It’s a lot of walking around and making sure things are where they should be. We just want the place to feel okay for whoever decides to visit us.
