Laxman Zoom Apparels

If you look under the flyover in Begumpet, you will find us at Shop No. 49. Laxman Zoom Apparels is right there in the middle of the noise and the concrete. Being under a flyover means it is always a bit shaded, but the sound of cars rushing overhead never stops. It is like a constant hum in the background of everything we do. Our shop is small and packed tight with all kinds of clothes. We have to be very careful with how we use the space. Hyderabad traffic is famous, and we see it all from our front door. Begumpet is a busy hub, so there is never a dull moment. We spend our time checking through the latest arrivals and trying to keep the dust off the merchandise. It isn't a glamorous location, but it works for us. We get people who are just passing through on their way to the metro or the bus stop. We don't have a lot of room for fancy displays, so we just hang things where they can be seen. Sometimes when the traffic jams up, people look out of their car windows at our shop. We’ve been here long enough that the other shopkeepers under the bridge are like family. We share snacks and complain about the heat together. It is a gritty, real place to work, and we wouldn't know what to do with a quiet office. The vibrations from the heavy trucks sometimes make the hangers rattle on the racks, but we just ignore it now.
