Larsen & Toubro Ltd. has a local yard and office here at No. 1/3/278, Stock 9 A, in Rr Colony. It’s situated right on Ashupur Road. This isn't one of those fancy head offices you see in the city. It’s a practical site where we manage stock and handle the logistics for our local projects. There is always a lot of movement with trucks and equipment being moved around. The dust from Ashupur Road can be a bit much sometimes, so everything in the office usually has a thin layer on it. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby for guests. It’s just a gate and a few rooms where we keep the records and handle the phones. The team here is a small group of folks who have worked together for years. We don't use polished language or corporate talk because we’re too busy dealing with the day-to-day work. Some days the phones are ringing constantly, and other days we’re out in the yard checking the inventory. We drink tea together and just get on with the tasks. Rr Colony is a decent area, but our spot is strictly for work. We don't have any flashy signs, just a simple place where the job gets done. We try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible despite the typical daily headaches that come with managing a stockyard like this.
