L. Naveen Jewellers

Our shop is at Plot No 10 in the Babukhan Estate over in Basheerbagh. It is a well-known building, but it can still be a bit confusing to navigate if you haven't been here before. We are not one of those huge, shiny jewelry stores you see in the malls. Instead, we have a smaller, more personal space where we keep our glass cases and the tools we use for repairs. A lot of our day is spent looking through magnifying loops at small stones or cleaning up gold chains that have lost their shine. The carpets are a little worn down from years of people coming in to pick out something for a wedding or a birthday. We don't have a big team of sales people in suits, just a few of us who know about jewelry and how to fix things. Basheerbagh is always busy with traffic, so the sound of horns usually leaks into the shop despite the heavy doors. We have a small safe in the back where everything goes at night, and every morning we spend time setting the displays back up. It is a lot of repetitive work, but we like the routine of it. We don't do much advertising because most people find us by word of mouth or by just walking through the estate while they are out doing their errands.
