L. Girdharilal & Company Jewellers is right in the heart of Gulzarhouz at Charkaman. Our shop is at No-21-2-83, which is an area that’s always bustling with people and energy. We have been here for generations, so the place has a lot of history for us. It’s not one of those modern, shiny showrooms you see in the malls. Our shop is more traditional, with small benches and old tools that have been used for years. We spend most of our time at the back, working on different pieces. It’s a family business, and we take things one day at a time. The noise from the market outside is constant, but it’s a sound we actually like. It feels like we’re part of something big. We don’t do any major advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because their parents used to come here. We sit together and have tea in the afternoons when things quiet down for a bit. The summer heat can be tough, but we have some old fans that do the job. We keep our overhead low and our focus on the jewelry in front of us. It’s honest work and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is.
