L Chimanlal & Company

L Chimanlal & Company operates out of Gowliguda at Dr.No-5-1-1063/1064/1065. That’s a lot of numbers for one address, but it’s just the way the old buildings are divided up here. Gowliguda is an old-school area and we fit right in. We’ve been around long enough that the walls could probably tell some stories. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stock and the different rooms. We mostly handle wholesale stuff and it gets pretty hectic when a big truck arrives. There’s always someone shouting directions or checking a manifest. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception desk. It’s mostly just wooden tables and old chairs. We like it that way because it feels real. My grandfather used to say that if you’re too comfortable, you aren't working hard enough. I don't know if that’s true, but we definitely stay busy. We have a few regulars who have been coming to us for decades. We just talk about the weather or the local news while we load up their orders. It’s a simple life. We don't spend money on advertising or anything like that. We just rely on being here every morning when the sun comes up and doing the job right. It’s just how things are done in this part of town. Our office is messy, but our orders are usually right on time.
