Shravan Paper Cones

Our small factory is at 55/A/2 in the IDA Kukatpally area. Shravan Paper Cones has been making these paper tubes for different industries for years now. It’s an industrial estate, so there are always trucks loading and unloading nearby. The machines that roll the paper cones make a rhythmic thumping sound that stays in your head long after you go home. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you’re not familiar with these backstreets in Kukatpally. The building itself is just a regular shed with high ceilings to keep it a bit cooler. We spend most of the day monitoring the glue and the paper thickness. It’s not the kind of job that requires a suit and tie. We’re usually in old clothes because of the adhesive and the paper dust that gets everywhere. We have a small corner for the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the floor where the cones are drying. We stack them up in big rows before they get packed into sacks for delivery. Sometimes the raw material delivery is late because of the traffic on the main road, but we manage. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just focus on making the cones and getting them to the people who ordered them for their own businesses.
