Working out of the Industrial Estate in Kukatpally means we are surrounded by other factories and warehouses. It’s a loud place most of the time because of all the machines making plastic packaging. We have the big rolls of plastic and the printing presses going throughout the day. The smell of the raw materials is something you just get used to after the first week. We spend a lot of time checking the machines to make sure they are not jamming up, because when one stops, the whole line gets backed up. It is hot in the warehouse, especially when the sun is beating down on the roof, but we have some big industrial fans to keep the air moving. Our office is just a small partitioned area where we keep the records and talk to the suppliers who come by. We don't have any fancy brochures or corporate presentations. People just know that we make the bags and wraps they need for their products. The trucks come in through the main gate of the estate to pick up the finished pallets. It is a lot of repetitive work, but there is a rhythm to it that feels good once you get going. We have been here in Kukatpally for quite some time now and we know the other business owners in the estate pretty well. It’s a hard-working area and we fit right in.
