Kick Chicken Vada Pav

You can find us right on the SR Nagar Main Road. We are the small spot tucked in beside the Reebok showroom. It is a very busy street, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping or heading home from work. We focus on chicken vada pav, which is a bit different from the usual potato ones you find everywhere else. The smell of frying chicken usually carries down the sidewalk. It is a tight space, mostly just enough room for the stove, the prep table, and a couple of us working behind the counter. We spend the afternoon cutting buns and breading the chicken pieces. When the rush starts around five o'clock, things get pretty fast. We don't have a big dining area with tables and chairs. Most people just stand on the pavement and eat their pav while it is still hot. The SR Nagar area is always full of students and office workers looking for a quick bite. We try to keep things moving so people don't have to wait too long. It gets quite warm near the fryers, and the noise from the traffic on the main road never really stops. We use a lot of green chilies and garlic in our chutneys. It is a simple food stall, nothing more. We just stay here until the last of the buns are gone for the night and we clean up the oil splatters.
