Our shop is tucked away in B.S.Maktha in the Somajiguda area. It’s one of those parts of town where the lanes are a bit narrow and you have to know where you're going. We’ve been here for a long time and the neighbors all know us. It’s a small operation. We do a lot of the creation right here on site. There’s always someone working on a piece of fabric or sketching out an idea. The space is pretty tight, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other. We have a lot of shelves filled with different materials we’ve collected. Somajiguda is a busy place but our little section stays relatively calm. We don't have any big flashy lights or window displays. Most of the time, the door is just propped open to let some air in. People come in and ask us to make things for them and we do our best to get it done on time. Sometimes we run late because a machine breaks or we run out of a certain color of thread. That’s just part of the job. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a local workshop where we make things we like and hope others like them too. It’s a lot of long hours but it feels good to see someone wearing something we made right here in B.S.Maktha. It's dusty work but we like it.
