Kendriya Vidyalaya

You can find the Kendriya Vidyalaya branch over at Site A in Sivarampalli, Hyderabad. We have a certain way of doing things that’s been around for a long time. The campus is fairly large, with open space and old trees providing shade during hot Hyderabad afternoons. Students come from all sorts of backgrounds, many with parents who work in various government jobs nearby. Long corridors echo when classes change, even though the buildings are old. Instead of spending money on fancy decorations, we let the students cover the walls with charts they made themselves. Days are pretty structured here. After the morning assembly, everyone goes straight to the classrooms for lessons. Following the rules and being on time is a big emphasis for us. The teachers have been around for years and know the syllabus inside out. During lunch, groups of kids sit under the trees sharing their tiffin boxes. It’s a very normal, busy environment. Between the dusty library full of books and the playground cricket matches, there is always something happening. We just focus on getting through the school year and making sure everyone passes their exams and learns what they need for the future. Most people in Sivarampalli know where we are and what to expect when they send their children here. It's about getting the work done and keeping the kids on the right path.
