Kashmir Cottage Emporium

Kashmir Cottage Emporium is located at 6-3-456/24/1, which is quite close to Model House in Panjagutta. People sometimes struggle to find the exact door, but once you’re near Model House, it’s not too far. We’ve got a lot of stuff packed into this space. It’s mostly things from back home, stuff that people usually like for their living rooms. We’ve been in Panjagutta for a long time. It’s a busy part of town but our shop stays a bit quieter than the main road. I usually open up around ten. The shelves are pretty full, maybe a bit too full sometimes, but that’s just how we keep things. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people who come by. It’s a small operation. Just a couple of us making sure everything is dusted and shown properly. Sometimes we sit and drink tea with the regular visitors. It’s more of a community feel than a corporate store. We handle everything ourselves, from the unpacking to the sales. If you need something specific, you might have to dig through a few piles, but we know where everything is. Panjagutta has changed, but we try to keep the same vibe we’ve always had here near Model House. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and the people who shop here. We're just trying to keep the tradition going in our own small way.
