Our shop is down in Vikrampuri in the Kharkhana area of Secunderabad. We are on the ground floor of Shop No 12 which is technically in Thokatta Village. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main city but we still get plenty of people coming by. We have been working with watches for a long time now. It is the kind of work that takes a lot of patience and steady hands. We sit at the back under the bright lamps and look through those magnifying glasses at the gears. The shop isn't very large so we have to be careful about where we put everything. We have watches in glass cases and some that are just wrapped up in cloth. People bring in everything from expensive brands to cheap ones they bought at a fair. We treat them all about the same because a watch is just a watch at the end of the day. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening when the sun goes down over Kharkhana. There isn't much more to it than that. We just fix what is broken and sell what we have on the shelves.
