Alka Watch

Alka Watch is over at number 45214/1 in Sultan Bazar. We are right beside Gokul Chat. Actually, most people just look for the chat shop and then they see us. We’ve been selling and fixing watches here for a long time. The shop is quite small and we have watches lined up all along the windows. Some are for children with bright colors and others are more formal for work. We do a lot of repairs too. People bring in old clocks that their grandfathers owned. We sit and try to get them to tick again. The tools are very tiny and it can be hard on the eyes after a few hours. Sultan Bazar is always full of people so there is a lot of noise coming in from the street. We don't have many people working here, just us. Sometimes the smell of the food from next door makes us very hungry. We don't have a website or any social media pages. If someone needs a watch or a repair, they just walk in. We show them what we have on the shelves and that's it. It’s a very old-fashioned way of doing things but it has worked for us for years. We just try to do an honest job every day and keep the clocks running for the neighborhood.
