K S Plastic

K S Plastic is over in Feelkhana, right in the heart of the old trading area. We are at 15-8-514, in A Block, Shop No. 7 on the first floor of Amar Estate. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, and the building is usually crowded with people carrying boxes and bundles. Feelkhana is a very busy place, lots of narrow streets and honking rickshaws. Our shop is small. We keep samples out on the counter and the rest of the stock is piled up to the ceiling. We sell a lot of plastic items, mostly things for daily use or for other businesses to use in their packaging. It’s a lot of talking to customers and haggling over prices. That’s just the way things are done here. We don't have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that hums all day. It gets quite warm in the summer, but the business keeps us moving. We’ve been in Amar Estate for a good while now. Most of the other shopkeepers around here are our friends. We eat lunch together and help each other out when things get busy. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s a good one. We just keep our heads down and keep the shop running. If you visit, you'll see we are just regular people trying to make a living in a crowded market. It is messy but it works for us.
