Jolly Industries

If you walk down Tilak Road in Abids, you will find Jolly Industries right in the thick of things. This part of Hyderabad is always bustling, and our shop has been a part of that noise for a long while. We do industrial work, mostly dealing with parts and machinery that the local workshops need. The building is older, with high ceilings and those heavy metal doors that groan a bit when you open them in the morning. We do not have a flashy showroom; instead, we have shelves stacked high with metal components and tools. It gets a bit dark in the back of the shop, but we know exactly where everything is located. The tea stall at the corner is where we usually get our morning chai, and the guys there know our order by heart. Dealing with customers on Tilak Road means you meet all sorts of people, from big contractors to guys just looking for a single bolt. We like the pace of it, even when the traffic outside gets so loud you have to shout to be heard over the horns. We do not use any fancy computer systems for everything, preferring to write things down in our big registers. It is the way we have always done it, and it works for us. The floor is stained with oil and bits of metal shavings, but that is just part of a normal workday here.
