Jivan Jyot High School

Jivan Jyot High School is located in Hyderabad. We aren't in one of those new, shiny suburbs with the glass office buildings. Our school is in a regular neighborhood where people live and work. We have been here for a good number of years. The school itself is quite simple. We have a few rows of classrooms and an office where we keep all the paperwork. Everything is done on paper here, mostly. We don't have a big budget for the latest technology, so we rely on blackboards and textbooks. It works well enough for the kids. The classrooms can get a bit stuffy when it’s hot outside, but we have fans to keep the air moving. During the breaks, the sound of children playing fills the whole street. We don't have a big marketing strategy or a fancy website. Most of our students come to us because their older siblings or their parents came here. It's a family thing for a lot of people in this part of Hyderabad. The teachers are mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. We don't try to sound corporate or polished because that's not who we are. We are just a local high school trying to do a decent job of teaching the local kids. It’s a bit loud and sometimes a bit disorganized, but it’s an honest place. We just open up every morning and do our best.
