Janani Agriserve

Working out of an apartment building in Himayathnagar is a bit different for an agricultural business. We are located at C-1 Aashiana Apartments on Street No. 3. It's usually quiet here until the farmers or suppliers start calling early in the morning. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds, soil, and what kind of pests are bothering the crops this season. Sometimes it feels strange being in the middle of the city while talking about fields and harvests, but this is where we have our base. We deal with a lot of paperwork and logistics to make sure supplies get where they need to go. My brother and I handle most of the phone calls. Sometimes the shipments get stuck or the prices of fertilizers change overnight, which causes a lot of headaches. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation with fancy offices. We just know a lot about farming and want to help the people who grow our food. It's a small space, mostly filled with files and some sample bags. Himayathnagar is a busy part of town, so finding parking for visitors is always a bit of a mess. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen many seasons come and go. People stop by for advice more than anything else. We don't have a flashy storefront. It’s just a practical office for practical work. We usually have the window open to let in a breeze, even though it brings in the city noise. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
