We’re located at 5-9-194 over in Chirag Ali Lane. If you’ve ever tried parking around here, you know it’s a bit of a nightmare. Our office is one of those older spots where the walls are covered in files and the ceiling fan makes a rhythmic clicking sound. We spend most of our time looking at numbers and filling out forms for people who need help with their finances. It’s not exciting work, but it’s important to the folks who walk through our door. We see all kinds of people, from young couples looking for their first loan to older shopkeepers trying to keep things afloat. There’s always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. We don't have fancy computers or a glass-walled boardroom; it’s just wooden desks and a lot of calculators. Sometimes the monsoon rain beats against the windows so loud we have to shout to hear each other. We’ve been in this building for years, and we know the tea seller and the guy at the stationary shop next door. People come here because they know where to find us and they know we’ll give them the time of day. It’s about sitting down, looking at the paperwork together, and seeing what can be done. It’s steady work, and we like the routine of the lane. We will be here tomorrow too.
