Jan Peter Memorial School

Our school is set up at Survey No. 386 in Ibrahim Patnam, which is right near the police station in Yacharam. Being so close to the station means it is usually a pretty safe and recognizable spot for parents to find us. The school was started to give the kids in this area a place to learn and grow. We have a decent amount of space here, with classrooms that get plenty of sunlight during the day. It’s not a modern building with all the bells and whistles, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose well. You can hear the bells ringing for class changes all through the afternoon. The staff here are mostly local people who wanted to do something good for the neighborhood. We deal with the usual school stuff like lost pencils, noisy hallways, and the occasional scraped knee during recess. The playground is a bit worn down, but the kids don't seem to mind much as long as they have space to play. We spend our time making sure the lessons are understood and the kids are behaving themselves. It gets pretty hot here in the summer, so we try to keep the rooms as cool as we can with the fans we have. We’ve been operating out of this Ibrahim Patnam location for a while now and we know the local rhythms. It’s a practical, straightforward school where the goal is just to help the children get through their studies every year.
