J L N Air Systems is on the first floor, right opposite the Indian Petrol Pump in Balkampet. It is a good spot because we can see everything happening on the street from up here. The office address is Dr.No.7-1-282/C/1/A, which sounds complicated, but once you find the petrol pump, you can't miss us. We deal with air systems, so you’ll usually find various units and parts scattered around the floor. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we are used to it by now. The work is mostly about keeping things cool, which is important around here when the sun is beating down on Balkampet. We have a small crew and we spend our time checking gauges and fixing motors. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few calendars and some notes pinned up. We don't really do much in the way of decorating because we are always busy with the machines. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when we are testing a system, but the neighbors don't seem to mind. We just focus on the practical side of things, making sure everything runs like it should. It’s a bit dusty and the work can be greasy, but we like what we do. We’ve been at this location for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our first-floor window. Most days we finish up by sweeping the metal shavings off the floor and making sure the stairs are clear.
