Iqra Mission High School

Iqra Mission High School is located in a very busy part of Hyderabad, over in Nawab Saab Kunta. Our address is 19-4-279/A/31/A, which can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't from Jahanuma. The lanes around here are quite tight and there’s always something going on, whether it’s a neighbor talking or a scooter trying to squeeze past. The school building is right in the middle of all this life. We’ve got kids from all the nearby houses coming in every morning. It’s a noisy place, but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We don’t have much in the way of a big front yard, so the kids usually congregate right inside the main door. Inside, the rooms are simple. We use what we have to make sure the lessons happen. Sometimes the sounds from the street make it hard to hear, but we just raise our voices a bit. The afternoons get pretty warm, and everyone is ready to head home by the time the final bell rings. We aren't a fancy school with a lot of money; we’re just a local place for the local families. We keep the walls painted when we can and try to keep the desks from falling apart. It’s hard work, but we’ve been here a long time. The 500053 area is home for us and our students.
