Shrikara Gravures

Shrikara Gravures is situated at Plot No 11, which is part of Survey No 169 on Dhoolapally Road. Being in Phase V Extn of Ida Jeedimetla means we are surrounded by all kinds of other factories. It is a busy spot. The road out front always has some truck or another parked there. We spend our time working on the gravure process, which is mostly about the cylinders and the technical bits. The machines take up most of the floor space, and they have got a specific hum that you get used to after a while. It is not the kind of place you would come for a quiet chat. We are usually covered in a bit of ink or grease by the end of the shift. The building itself is a standard industrial shed, nothing special to look at, but it keeps the rain off the equipment. We have been in Jeedimetla long enough to know the local tea stall owners and the other workers on the block. It is a community of sorts. We just keep our heads down and handle the work as it comes in. There is no fancy marketing department here, just a few of us making sure the jobs get finished. It is practical, sometimes a bit messy, but we get it done.
