Hyderabad Handloom Centre

We are the Hyderabad Handloom Centre, located at 22/7/268/A/B. We are right near the Syndicate Bank in Dewan Devdi. This part of the city has so much history, and you can feel it when you walk through the streets. Our shop is quite simple. We have shelves filled with different materials and items we've collected over time. It’s a bit dark inside sometimes because the buildings are so close together, but it stays cool even when it's hot outside. We spend our days folding fabric and talking to the regulars who come in. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. People just know where we are and they come find us. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, I suppose. My father was doing this before me, and I just kept it going because it felt right. There’s always a smell of old wood and cloth in the air here. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one that's been there for years and is a bit faded. The street is narrow, so it's mostly people on foot or scooters passing by. We like the pace here. It isn't as rushed as the newer parts of Hyderabad. We take our time with people and make sure they find what they are looking for without any hurry or pressure. It’s a quiet life but we enjoy it.
