Our place is a bit hidden away in Balaji Nagar. If you’re looking for us, the best way is to find Pillar No. 68 of the PV Narsimha Flyover Bridge in Guddimalkapur. We operate out of Flat No. 85. It’s more of a home-turned-office than a proper commercial building. There are books everywhere—on the shelves, on the tables, and sometimes even stacked on the floor when a new shipment comes in. Hyderabad Book Trust has been around for a while, and we mostly focus on getting things printed and out to readers who care about local topics. It’s not a high-profit business, to be honest. We do it because we think these books should exist. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the main road. Sometimes authors stop by to talk, or we have small meetings around the kitchen table. We don't have a staff in uniforms or a fancy sign out front. It’s just a few of us handling the orders and making sure the accounts are mostly correct. The stairs up to the flat can be a bit steep if you’re carrying a heavy box. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking emails to see who needs what. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here. We aren't trying to compete with the big bookstores, we’re just doing our own thing in our own corner of the city.
