You can find us at Shop No. 22-6-125 in the Hira Moti Complex. This is right in the middle of Machli Kaman on Pathergatti Road. If you know the old city, you know how packed it gets. There are shops everywhere. We have books piled up on almost every surface. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of all the paper. People come in looking for religious texts or school books. We try to find what they need but sometimes it takes a minute to dig through the stacks. The building is old and has a lot of character. We’ve been here for quite some time now. It’s noisy outside with all the traffic and people shouting. Inside it’s mostly just the smell of old paper. We don't really do any advertising. Word of mouth works well enough in this neighborhood. Everyone knows the landmarks around here. We open early and stay until late. Sometimes the tea seller from across the way brings us some chai. That’s the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If you want something, you just come and ask. We handle the cash and keep the ledger. It’s the old-fashioned way of doing things. We just like being part of the market here. The lights in the back room flicker sometimes, but we haven't gotten around to fixing them. Most days are just about moving boxes and helping customers find that one specific book they heard about. It gets tiring on the legs, but we are used to standing all day.
