Huhtamaki P P L Ltd is situated at 139/148 in the Sri Venkateshwara Co-Op Industrial Estate. This is out in Bollaram, which falls under the Medak district. It is a massive area filled with all kinds of factories and large sheds. Our place is quite big, and it can take a few minutes just to walk from the front gate to the main work floor. There are always trucks coming and going, delivering raw materials or taking away the finished products. The roads in the industrial estate are pretty rough because of all the heavy traffic and the big wheels of the lorries. It’s a very busy environment, with the constant sound of machinery humming in the background. I spend most of my time indoors, away from the hot Medak sun. The building is made of concrete and steel, designed for work rather than for looking pretty. We have a lot of different people working here, all focusing on their own part of the production line. During the lunch break, we all gather in the shade to eat and have a bit of a rest before getting back to it. It isn't the kind of place you’d visit for fun, but it is where a lot of important work happens. We don’t go in for fancy talk or corporate slogans. We just focus on the machines and making sure everything is running the way it should be every day.
