Hotel Shahran

The tea stays hot and the kitchen stays busy even when it's raining outside. We've been here near Machli Kaman for a long time now. You can see the Charminar from just a short walk away. Most people who come in are either locals who live in the narrow lanes nearby or tourists who look a bit lost. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. The tables are just regular wood and the chairs have some scratches on them from years of use. It gets really loud sometimes because of the traffic and the people shouting outside, but that is just how this part of Hyderabad is. We try to keep the place clean and serve the food as fast as we can. Usually, the biryani runs out by the afternoon on busy days. If you're looking for a shiny place with soft music, this isn't it. This is a place where you sit down, eat your meal, maybe talk to the person at the next table, and then head back out into the crowd. Our staff knows most of the regular customers by their names or what they usually order. It’s just a simple hotel doing what it can in a very busy part of the city. We don't promise anything special, just a spot to sit and some decent food that doesn't cost too much. It gets dusty because of the road, but we wipe things down often. We are here every day.
