Our hotel is situated in the 500013 area of Hyderabad, which is a pretty well-known part of town. We’ve been operating as a private company for a good while now. It’s not a huge place, just enough rooms to keep us busy throughout the week. We see a lot of regular faces, people who come to the city for the same business every few months. They know us and we know how they like their tea, which makes things feel a bit more like home for everyone. The building is older, so there is always a bit of maintenance to do, like a leaky tap or a door that squeaks when it opens. We handle it ourselves mostly. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a massive marketing team or anything; most people find out about us just by walking past or hearing from a friend who stayed here before. The street outside can be quite noisy with the autos and bikes going by, but once you’re inside, it settles down a bit. We try to keep the place clean and welcoming without making it feel too stiff or formal. It’s just a straightforward hotel where you can get some rest. We enjoy meeting the different people who pass through our doors. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it’s worked for us for years. We just keep doing what we’ve always done.
