Hotel Golkonda

This is the Hotel Golkonda office, located at 103 Kaveri Apartments. It's a bit of an odd address because it says Hyderabad but then mentions Uttar Pradesh with the 500028 zip code, which often confuses the delivery guys. We are basically just a small team working out of an apartment space. It’s not like a big hotel lobby with gold lights and carpets. It’s more of an administrative spot where we handle the paperwork and the behind-the-scenes stuff. There are piles of ledgers and folders on the tables. We’ve got a small kitchen in the back where we make tea about five times a day. The walls are painted a plain off-white, and we have a couple of calendars hanging up to keep track of the dates. It’s a lived-in space. You can hear the sounds of the other residents in the apartment block—kids playing or someone cooking. It’s a very local vibe. We’ve been here for a long time, so we know the security guard and the people in the neighboring units. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just how things go. We keep the files organized as best as we can, even if the desks are a bit cluttered with pens and half-empty water bottles.
