About Hamza Islamic School – Education in Hyderabad
Hamza Islamic School sits right in the middle of Nizam Colony over in Hakimpet. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most of the time, though you can hear the usual sounds of the community throughout the day. The school itself isn’t a huge complex. It’s just a few floors where we have the classrooms set up. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few charts that have been taped up for a long time. We have a small courtyard where everyone gathers in the morning. It’s not paved perfectly, so you have to watch your step. The air can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we open the windows and hope for a breeze. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech stuff. It’s just a place with benches and boards where people come to learn. The staff room is a bit of a mess with tea cups and stacks of papers everywhere. We know most of the parents by name because they live just a few houses down. It’s that kind of place. There’s nothing corporate about how we run things. We just open the doors, do the lessons, and close up when the sun starts to go down. It’s a simple life here in Hakimpet, and the school is just one part of the daily routine for everyone in the colony who passes by.
