We are based at 2-896-75 in the I D A Cherlapally Industrial Development Area. H I P L India has been operating out of this industrial zone for quite some time now. It’s a very busy part of the region, with trucks and vans moving in and out at all hours of the day. The address, 2-896-75, is just one of many units in this big industrial patch. Our space is mostly taken up by equipment and storage. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes because of the grease and the dust. We don’t have a fancy sign out front, just the number on the door. Inside, the ceiling is high and the air can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons when the sun is beating down on the roof. We have a small corner where we keep a desk and some files, but most of the action happens on the main floor. The people who work here are used to the noise of the neighboring units. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just focus on the work that needs to be finished by the end of the week.
