Gulf Terrace Hotel

Gulf Terrace Hotel is located at H. No. 22-6-2641, right in the middle of the Hyderabad Mandi. If you know the Mandi area, you know it is always crowded and full of noise. Our building is old and has a lot of character, even if the paint is peeling in a few spots. We are right there in the 500002 zip code area where everything feels like it has been there for a hundred years. The streets are narrow and there is always someone shouting or a scooter honking nearby. We spend our days managing the rooms and talking to people who are just passing through the city. It is a very traditional part of Hyderabad, so things move a bit differently here. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors and see who comes in. The rooms are basic and we try to keep them as clean as the old building allows. Usually, the lobby is full of people waiting or just chatting about the day. It gets very dusty because of all the trade happening in the Mandi, so we are always sweeping. It is a lot of work to keep an old hotel running in such a busy spot. We just take it day by day and hope the plumbing stays okay. The view from the terrace is mostly just other rooftops and the busy street below.
