Gnana Ratnam Boola

Gnana Ratnam Boola is our little spot in Hyderabad. We’ve been in the 500001 area for quite a while now. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always something going on outside our window. The shop is pretty basic. We have some chairs for people to wait in and a desk where we do all the paperwork. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. I think people like coming here because we don’t put on any acts. We’re just regular folks trying to earn a living. Some days are really busy and we barely have time to eat lunch, while other days are so quiet we end up reading the newspaper twice. We don’t have a big team or a human resources department. It’s just us. We’ve learned everything by doing it, making plenty of mistakes along the way. But that’s how you learn, right? We’ve seen the city grow and the traffic get worse, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We like the consistency. When someone walks in, they know what to expect. We aren’t trying to change the world, just trying to help out the people who need what we provide. It’s a decent way to spend the day, and we’re thankful for the work we have. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains hard, but we just put a bucket down.
