Financial Inclusion Facilitators

Our office is tucked away in Kamala Nagar, right in that small lane by the Indian Bank. It is house number 17-112 on VV Nagar Road. Chaithyanya Puri is a very busy area with lots of people, but our particular lane is slightly quieter than the main road. We have been working from here for a bit, helping people with their banking and various money matters. It is not a big bank building with glass walls or guards. It is just a regular house that we converted into a small workspace. We have some desks, a couple of old computers, and some chairs for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Sometimes the printer acts up right when we need it most, which is very frustrating, but we manage to get it fixed. People come in with all sorts of questions about bank forms or how to open accounts. We try to explain things in very simple English because the official language on those forms can be very confusing for most folks. We are not trying to be anything corporate or fancy here. We just want to make sure the paperwork gets done correctly for everyone. The neighborhood knows us pretty well now. Sometimes someone will even bring some tea over while we work. It is that kind of place. We keep our files as organized as possible.
