Feelkhana is a place that never really stays quiet. Our shop, National Traders, is at 15-1-52/15, right in the thick of it in Hyderabad-12. It’s an old building, and the walls have seen a lot of history over the years. We’ve been trading here for a long time. The street is narrow, and you have to be careful when trucks are unloading nearby. We deal in various goods, mostly bulk stuff that moves in and out every day. The air inside smells a bit like old paper and whatever we happen to be stocking that week. We have a couple of desks shoved in the back where we handle the paperwork. It’s usually a bit of a mess with receipts and old ledgers everywhere. We drink a lot of tea while we talk to customers who have been coming to us for decades. It’s not a modern setup. We use old fans that creak a bit, but they keep the air moving on hot afternoons. My father used to run this place, and I took over when his health started to slow him down. We have a few helpers who know where everything is kept, even if it looks disorganized to an outsider. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We don’t do much advertising at all. People just know the address and come by when they need something. Sometimes we get deliveries that are late because the driver got lost in the alleys, which means we stay late to finish up. That’s how we like it.
