T J Electronics is situated at Plot No 83A on the ground floor of the Cherllapalli Industrial Estate Phase 2. Being in an industrial estate means it’s not really a place for window shoppers. The surroundings are mostly big sheds, trucks moving around, and the sound of machinery from the neighboring units. Our space is quite large because of all the components and boards we keep in stock. There’s a lot of grey metal shelving and workbenches with soldering irons and multimeters scattered around. We usually have the heavy shutters halfway up during the day to let some air in, but it stays pretty industrial feeling inside. The floors are concrete and have some marks from moving heavy equipment over the years. We deal with a lot of people from the other factories around Cherllapalli who need specific parts or something fixed quickly. It’s a lot of technical talk and checking part numbers in thick catalogs. Lunch usually happens right at the desk between piles of wires. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a place where work gets done. You’ll see boxes stacked in the corners waiting to be sent out or unpacked. We know the security guards at the gate and the other shop owners nearby. It’s a gritty area but it suits the kind of work we do here on the ground floor. We have been here for a while and the routine stays pretty much the same.
