Fashion Race

Fashion Race is situated in Maruthi Nagar, which is right in the Dilsukhnagar area of Hyderabad. If you know this part of town, you know it is always crowded and there is always something going on. Our shop is just a regular place where we keep a lot of different styles on the racks. The name sounds fast, but we actually spend a lot of time just sitting and waiting for the next person to walk in. We have a lot of items packed into a relatively small space. Sometimes it is hard to move around when we have a new delivery, but we eventually get everything sorted out. The 500036 area is full of energy, and we feel that every day. We don’t have a big team of people; it is just us doing the daily chores like sweeping and tagging the new stock. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things are slow. The window out front lets in some light, but most of the time we rely on the overhead bulbs to show off the colors of the clothes. It is a simple life running a shop in Maruthi Nagar. We know most of the other shopkeepers nearby, and we all just try to get through the day. Dilsukhnagar is a tough place to run a shop but we have managed to stay here through it all. It is a practical business for practical people.
